It's been a rough week for the luxury cruise lines. First the announcement from Regent that its Seven Seas Voyager was cutting its world cruise short in order to fix a damaged pod and now this troubling news from Silversea: three high-level executives—David Morris, Marilyn Conroy, and Tim Rand—were terminated yesterday. No official word from Silversea as of yet, but rumor has it that these changes surprised many within the company.
- David Morris was executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
- Marilyn Conroy was senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Americas.
- Tim Rand was vice president and chief information officer.
According to Seatrade Insider, Silversea has a plan in place to fill these positions. —Andrea M. Rotondo
